The Unwanted MotorCycle Club was formed in 2000 by 7 people, the founder members were Tango, Ruth, Pete, Linda, Wiff, Billy & Ceri. Over the 12 years we have punched a lot of tarmac, and picked up a lot of new members along the way.
After 9years of meeting at The Beech in Stretton we moved to our new home at The Rockbar, as it is now known, it is there not just for our meetings but also for the club members to use and also for others to come along and party with us, and enjoy themselves in the friendly atmosphere we have created. Outside the club is 10acres so if anyone wants to come and stay over there is also somewhere to pitch your tent.
We also support The Air Ambulance, Royal British Legion & Help for Heroes and as a club we are affilated to MAG (Motorcycle Action Group), BMF (British Motorcyclists Federation) & NABD (National Assciation of Bikers with Disabilities).
We have events all through the year including a Toy Run to Fountains Special Needs School in Stretton, which caterers for children from 5 years to 18 years old. The first weekend in June we hold our Bike, Trike & Custom Show, which now has grown into a weekend event and our Cock Out Rally is held the second weekend of July, which has become a bit of a legend with our 'Let Us Entertain You' slot.
We also hold parties throughout the year starting with St Valentines in Feb, through to New Years Eve in December and assist in many fundraising functions. The Rockbar is also the home of the Burton MAG with our founder member Ruth is the Rep for the Burton on Trent area.
We meet every Friday evening from 7.30pm the address is The Rockbar, Shobnall Sports & Social Club, Shobnall Road, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, DE14 2BB on the B5017 just opposite Marston Brewery. So if you're ever passing through call in for a pint with us.
